This project focuses on the campus cultural construction of Runxin Special Education School in Yanliang District, Xi'an City. The design includes enhancing the architectural façade, designing light-filled atriums, creating stylized staircases and corridors, designing certain interior spaces, and developing a visual identity (VI). The aim is to provide a visually appealing and humane learning and living environment for special needs children in the vicinity, alleviating pressure on their families and aiding educators and students in their educational endeavors. It seeks to improve the learning environment for children with intellectual disabilities and the working conditions for teachers in special education. The design revolves around the concept of "Rainbow Garden," symbolizing the hope that regardless of the children's future development, they will have a colorful and fulfilling life akin to a rainbow. The design incorporates curved elements and vibrant colors, merging the rainbow with cartoon castles. Considering the developmental patterns of special education children, the design integrates modern education with an eco-friendly natural environment, creating a nurturing, inclusive, and liberating environment for children to grow.
