The project is positioned as a municipal tertiary first-class comprehensive hospital and a regional medical center integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and preventive health care functions. The project design makes full use of the topography and conforms to the road elevation to ensure the reasonable division of medical and non-medical areas and reduce the impact on the surrounding environment.
The planning and design adopts a symmetrical layout on the central axis, and the outpatient, medical technology, and inpatient buildings are arranged in sequence to form a clear functional partition. The design aims to create a "garden-like" healing space. Blurring the architectural boundaries of the hospital, breaking the barriers between the building and the natural environment, allowing the two to penetrate and integrate with each other to create a "garden-like" healing environment. A large number of ground greenery, sky gardens and green courtyards not only provide a place for patients to recover, but also inject vitality and ecological atmosphere into the hospital. At the same time, the convenient medical process and natural ventilation design all reflect the core concept of green medical buildings.
Taking Shenzhen's eastward expansion strategy as an opportunity, this project aims to seize the development opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and build Peking University-Shenzhen Hospital and Shenzhen-Shantou Hospital into a regional medical center, providing a solid guarantee for the development of the Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone.
