Red Fan shells inspired design, combining smooth curved lines, the natural shape of the desert’s sand ripples and dunes as well as the shell’s own structure. The result is a contemporary architectural building that deploys aesthetic.
The seashell shape was chosen to symbolize the ancient art of fishing, as the State of Qatar was one of the first fishing nations in the past, where this profession was its lifeblood.
Bin Ghanem Island, located on the eastern coast of the State of Qatar, was famous in the past for the ancient art of pearl diving and for the production of crimson dye (extracted from seashells), where 2.9 million red to dark red dye-producing shells were discovered.
The design of the modern hotel emerges as an oasis of luxury and comfort, seamlessly blending contemporary design with the raw beauty of its surroundings.
