Floral Lux hotel ZhuXiangJu

The Floral Lux Hotel ZhuXiangJu's design concept draws inspiration from the Zen spirit at Guanyin Beach. The endeavour involves transforming a 20-year-old building into a cultural and spiritual exploration point for travellers. The hotel offers modern comforts while providing a Zen cultural environment, allowing visitors to seek peace and relaxation.
The hotel's design perfectly blends Buddhist Zen elements and modern luxury, reducing the number of rooms from 55 to 40, with up to 16 different types of rooms. These rooms are customised, with some offering Mountain View, Ocean View, and Meditation features, among others, to offer adequate space to relax themselves for each guest fully. The design of the rooms emphasises large outward-facing windows that provide guests with stunning views of the island, reducing the dependence on artificial lighting and providing a more natural connection. In addition, some rooms incorporate skylights that augment the sense of spaciousness, providing guests with a unique stargazing experience. Notably, the light fixtures have been cleverly integrated with the room numbers to provide privacy without compromising the aesthetic appeal.
To create a Buddhist Zen atmosphere, attention has been ingeniously paid to every aspect of the design, from the materials to the interior decor to the room layout. The floor is a black fossilised stone with hundreds of millions of years of history, while the sanitary ware and bathroom fixtures are from international brands such as Hansgrohe and Duravit. The materials and interior decorations used in the rooms are all from nature, such as wood, stone, and bamboo products. These elements provide a sense of tranquillity and harmony to the space, echoing the Zen philosophy of returning to nature. The entrance corridor, which is the first impression of the hotel, also plenty showcases Zen culture. Utilising natural materials and soft lighting creates a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere, subtly guiding guests on an inspiring journey of Zen culture.
