Yuan Lin Baiguo Mountain Sightseeing, Recreation Facilities

The Baiguo Mountain in Yuanlin has a long history. There are torii and shrines from the Japanese colonial era, as well as the country's longest slide built in the 1960s. However, these are not in compliance with the playground safety regulations nowadays. The " Yuan Lin Baiguo Mountain Sightseeing and Recreation Facilities and Environmental Refurbishment (Phase II)" aims to preserve these historical objects and re-establish the forest as a public space with educational value and recreational appeal.
The remodeled Baiguo Mountain combines history and modernity. The history area retains historical buildings such as torii and shrines and creates a quiet and elegant atmosphere through Japanese garden landscaping and night-time themed lighting. The playground area has bright colors and diverse facilities to stimulate children's interest in play. The rebirth of Baiguo Mountain serves as a new scenic spot in Changhua County and establishes a paradigm for the inheritance of history and culture.
