Children’s Teeth Extractor

The design of the tooth extractor as lollipops and ice pops aims to make children feel familiar and excited about tooth extraction. This design transforms the traditional fear of dental procedures by mimicking the form of snacks that children know and love. With this friendly and appealing design, we hope to spark children's curiosity, making them more willing to engage in the extraction process.

The shape of the tooth extractor, modeled after lollipops and ice pops, is not only visually friendly but also utilizes an unconventional pulling method to easily extract teeth, reducing children's anxiety. The design features soft silicone materials to ensure comfort during extraction. Additionally, the device is equipped with a mini vibrator whose vibration mode distracts the child during extraction and alleviates pain.

A challenge in designing the tooth extractor in the shape of lollipops and ice pops was ensuring that this form was practical and functional. To overcome this, we conducted extensive prototyping to ensure that the shape was both appealing to children and effective for the task of tooth extraction. Additionally, finding the right combination of materials to ensure sufficient strength to support the extraction function while being soft enough to protect the child's mouth was another challenge. Through close collaboration with materials scientists and pediatric dental specialists, we successfully addressed these issues.
