Forest of Arcs

This case involves the planning of a single-story residential house with an indoor area of approximately 125 square meters.
In order to present a gender-neutral and comfortable living environment for a family of four, the design team chose grass green as the main color scheme for the space. By incorporating a large amount of wooden elements and negative space, they balanced the visual weight and created a solid yet warm atmosphere. This design connected the walls and ceiling with a consistent visual appeal, making the space appear more spacious and bright. The lively greenery in the corners complemented the space, creating a fresh atmosphere. The curved design elements reflected the soft and gentle nature of the female writer homeowner, while also considering the aging process of the male and female homeowners. By reducing sharp angles in the space, the overall safety of the living environment was enhanced. The design also played with light and shadow to create a simple yet dynamic spatial expression.
The open-style foyer seamlessly connects to the public area, with the kitchen partition wall removed and integrated with the dining room to create a smooth flow. A raised multi-functional leisure area is added for added flexibility, with storage space below to meet practical needs. The use of perforated boards and curved corner upright shelves overturns traditional storage forms, creating different perspectives and layers. The side wall extends the use of mirrors for a sense of movement, lightening the overall public area. When the study sliding door is opened, the activity area is further expanded, allowing the family to fully utilize every corner, making the residence a place of inspiration and healing at all times.
