In transforming this long and narrow living space with an area of approximately 99 square meters, the designer employs a penetration design technique to enhance visual breadth and boost functionality. The penetration in this design refers to the deliberate integration of lights and space that penetrate through multiple layers or zones within spaces, creating a sense of continuity and cohesion. It's a strategic design technique that fosters fluidity and visual harmony, allowing for the seamless transition between different areas, delivering the needs of the homeowner. Structural elements like the cabinets for storage, the partitions between the spaces, the stone materials used extending from floor to ceiling and a decorative feature like lighting fixtures descending from above are used to deliver penetration, which adds depth and interest to the design while enhancing the overall spatial experience.

At the entrance, a screen crafted from stone and titanium-plated steel extends the sense of space and alleviates any potential feeling of enclosure that solid walls might create.

This penetration design technique continues in the living room, where the TV wall, utilizing the same materials, establishes a seamless flow between the living and dining areas. This thoughtful integration promotes family interaction while maintaining distinct zones within the home.

In the living room, the TV wall, also crafted from stone and titanium-plated steel, continues this penetration design approach, creating a cohesive style throughout the living area. This design also establishes a circular flow between the living and dining rooms, keeping the spaces distinct yet connected, allowing seamless communication among family members.

The design further enhances the space with a 3.2-meter island table that seamlessly connects the dining and kitchen areas, integrating a sink to boost functionality. The dining room's accent wall, featuring titanium metal panels with integrated light strips, adds depth and dynamism through its reflective qualities. The careful combination of materials and lighting not only brightens the space but also creates a unique interplay of light and shadow, giving the narrow area a broader visual appeal and maximizing its efficiency.
