Metropolis Light

The venue is a store consisting of two units. The name, “Metropolis Light”, is a metaphor for the lights in the city that echo the brand. The corner location provides good exposure. The designer took full advantage of the location to showcase the brand's wide range of lighting fixtures through the circulation plan and a modern, minimalist style.
The designer used different materials and structures to reinforce the theme. For example, the glass block wall provides transparency and privacy, making the display area look open and private at the same time. The exterior and part of the interior structure made of corten steel give the space an industrial look and contrast with the modern design of the lighting fixtures. The design of the interior emphasizes the effect of light and shadow and the flow of circulation. Elements such as diagonal cut-outs, suspended staircases, and glass block walls form a multi-layer and varied display space.
