Beam Suntory, a leader in premium spirits, blends craftsmanship and heritage to elevate consumer experiences with its renowned brands. DB&B Singapore recently designed and built Beam Suntory’s new 18,000-square-foot office in Singapore, aiming to reflect the brand’s premium status and foster collaboration among its 150 employees.
The office design celebrates Beam Suntory’s craftsmanship and narrative, drawing from Japanese and American craft traditions. The entrance features tactile wooden barrels and a dynamic video mural showcasing the brand’s history and whiskey-making processes, inviting deep engagement.
Enso, the Beam Suntory bar, serves as a hub for conversations, blending the brand’s heritage with modern aesthetics. It features a Japanese-inspired trellis pattern, washi paper-adorned pendant lights, and natural materials like timber and stone, accented by a vintage mirror ceiling for elegance and depth. The bar’s lower counter section is versatile for tasting events.
Attention to detail is evident throughout, with custom-crafted armrests and sophisticated lighting in seating areas, and flexible workspaces designed for collaboration and fluidity.
The office layout includes a concierge area doubling as a reception, promoting social interaction. Carpets mimic flowing water, symbolizing fluidity, while meeting rooms feature curved acoustic panels inspired by Japanese motifs.
Casual spaces like brand-themed lockers and a breakout room with a vibrant graphic wall enhance the office’s dynamic atmosphere. A mural celebrating Eastern and Western cultures underscores Beam Suntory’s values of diversity and connection.
Repurposed elements from Beam Suntory’s previous office, including greenery for ambiance and air quality, highlight the company’s commitment to sustainability.
Since completion in mid-2023, Beam Suntory’s new office has earned praise for its vibrant design and embodiment of the brand’s ethos, reflecting DB&B Singapore’s expertise in creating functional, inspiring workspaces.
