ORIEGNTAL VILLA

Landscape is a reflection of the city. This project is situated in Lishui, Zhejiang, nestled between mountains and waters. The landscape designer emulates nature, harnessing water to create gardens, capitalizing on the exceptional terrain variations to depict the poetic aspects of lakeside living through varied garden techniques.
The grand entrance of the high-rise section commands attention, flanked by towering green pines and cloud-water sculptures atop the central water feature. The atrium's mirrored water feature cascades layered like Yunhe terrace, reflecting the sky. The reception hall appears like a cloud pavilion floating amidst the mirrored waters, evoking a sense of being in the clouds. Moving through the reception hall, a waterfall cascades directly from above. The planting pool and the water feature interlace in a winding display, with stones and falling water depicting a miniature landscape.
The entrance of the courtyard area features two sets of welcoming water features, creating symmetry. Passing through the foyer, one encounters a winding path and a natural painting of swaying pine branches. Leveraging the site's natural elevation changes, the garden's ambiance is directed to the sunken courtyard via cascading waterfalls. The reception hall resembles a cloud tower, offering panoramic views of the gardens' scenic beauty at varying heights. A folding bridge spans the lotus pond, linking corridors, pavilions, and towers. The water courtyard is shaded by lush green trees, exuding a wild vitality.
The model courtyard extends the elegant and poetic essence into the walls, encapsulating a landscape garden within a small courtyard. The finer details manifest the power of nature, crafting a residence that is both luxurious and secluded.
