The Art of Relaxation

This project involves revitalizing an aging commercial space originally designed as an office, characterized by numerous steel columns and low beams, as well as exterior windows with longstanding issues of moisture and leaks. The initial phase focused on demolition, waterproofing, and structural reinforcement. Subsequently, eco-friendly and antibacterial panels were carefully chosen to cater specifically to the requirements of a dental clinic. To meet professional standards, the entrance area features a sliding door to delineate dust collection and shoe-changing zones. PVC flooring, raised by 17cm to accommodate essential equipment, electrical, and plumbing needs, was installed uniformly throughout. Distinct flooring patterns were employed to delineate different functional zones. The design incorporates a staggered high-low ceiling that harmonizes with the existing beam orientations and air conditioning ducts. Major partitions are crafted from film-coated glass, allowing natural light to permeate while subtly transforming the spatial dynamics.
At the heart of our design is the inviting waiting area, conceived not just for patient comfort but also as a versatile hub for education and community engagement. Thoughtful pathways ensure smooth circulation, leading to a state-of-the-art sterilization room that guarantees hygiene excellence. Additionally, a dedicated laboratory caters specifically to the needs of professional prosthodontists. Every detail, from the graceful curves of the checkout counter to the soft, soothing hues of the furnishings in the waiting area, has been carefully curated to create an atmosphere of inviting warmth and reassurance. The sophisticated grey color palette complements the clinic's modern aesthetic, fostering a serene environment that alleviates patient anxiety and promotes a sense of well-being.
