Profound Synthesis

The project involves the revitalization of an aging multi-story residence that previously suffered from poor natural lighting, particularly in the basement floor, which was previously dark and relegated to storage purposes only. Upon undertaking the project, the design team prioritized reinforcing the building's structure, reconfiguring the layout, optimizing flow and staircase lines, and thoughtfully dividing public and private areas. The goal was to eliminate corridors and unused spaces while integrating healthy materials, an elegant color scheme, and ample windows to draw in natural light, thereby creating a sense of spaciousness beyond the actual square footage.



The original property had low ceilings and numerous beams, creating a sense of confinement. In the redesign, full ceiling coverings were avoided in favor of clean, curved lines, recessed lighting, and linear light strips that replaced central lighting fixtures, enhancing visual height perception. Artistic paint masterfully applied on primary walls and flooring provides a soft, matte texture that enhances the sensory experience and complements the homeowner's cherished Italian Boffi furniture and kitchenware.



The entrance foyer features an exquisite cabinet piece that serves as an elegant focal point, welcoming guests with a coat and hat cabinet that subtly partitions the staircase, delineating indoor and outdoor spaces while fostering an inviting presence. In the living room, a backlit groove along the lower edge of the main wall discreetly conceals equipment cabinets, storage, and wiring. The master bedroom exudes understated elegance with a base of soothing beige complemented by a touch of romantic burgundy at the head of the bed. The basement (B1) has been transformed into an exclusive entertainment enclave with steps adorned in warm gray and bright yellow gradient thick, soft carpets, providing comfortable seating for casual gatherings, movie nights, and family bonding, fostering cherished memories and continuing the narrative of blissful home life.
