The China Merchants Kechuang Square Phase I and II are located in Deep Sea Science and Technology City in the core area of Yazhou Bay, Sanya City, with Lot 1 and Lot 2 creating an independent Deep Sea Science and Technology City park within a park, and constructing a well-planned, well-positioned and functionally linked industrial development pattern through the ‘four districts, a ring, and a belt’. The project design is based on the overall planning and design strategy of ‘nucleus, axis, vein and platform’, forming an integral whole with the first phase at the planning level, with a symmetrical layout along the middle landscape river.

With the concept of ‘three-dimensional park’ as the core, the project breaks the spatial boundaries of traditional industrial parks, and creates a new mode of industry-city fusion integrating high efficiency, greenness and intelligence by vertically integrating the functional spaces of office, research and development, exhibition and living support.

At the same time, the building units are designed with a step-by-step retreat system in the podium part, forming a natural transition from high to low, strengthening the penetration of the landscape space and the building, as well as reinforcing the connection between the buildings. The overhead and platform system provides a rich public space experience for people working in the building, where light is diffused, space is staggered, and all kinds of exchanges and collisions occur constantly, presenting a subtle combination of architectural form and daily contingency.
