The era of global warming has ended; the era of global boiling has arrived. -- A. Guterres (Secretary-General of the UN)
The “Climate Action—Our Future Our Choice” Exhibition leverages multi-sensory multimedia, immersive displays, and innovative digital interactions, seamlessly integrating physical scenery, exhibits, and specimens. It reveals the science behind climate change and its impacts, serving as a compelling reminder of the urgent need for proactive actions towards a sustainable future.
The “Climate Action-Our Future Our Choice” exhibition features six major sections, starting with the "Prologue," which employs immersive projection that seamlessly blends virtual and physical scenarios to depict Earth's majestic beauty, fostering a sense of appreciation for our planet. This is followed by a vivid 3D light sculptures projection showcasing the drastic scenes of rainfall instead of snow and glacier calving in the Arctic, serving as a stark reminder of the severity of global warming. In the "Understanding Climate Change" section, interactive projections, digital experiments, and multimedia peepholes display techniques are utilized to educate visitors on the principles of climate change and how global warming intensifies the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.
The "Ecological Crisis" section highlights the survival challenges faced by Arctic wildlife due to global warming through mirror-head dynamic projections. Additionally, physical specimens and realistic models, complemented by naked-eye 3D interactions, highlight the pressing survival crises faced by marine animals. The "Climate Crisis" section utilizes dynamic imagery, interactive games, and a 4K immersive theater to demonstrate the diverse impacts of climate change on humanity and the environment. In the "Transforming Our World" section, Augmented Reality (AR) technology, interactive projections, and games convey how individuals and policies can contribute to achieving a net-zero green lifestyle. Lastly, the "Co-creating a Net-Zero World" section invites visitors to engage in colorful painting activities and record messages, encouraging reflection on climate change and pledging commitments to climate action.
Additionally, a web-based educational game, “Climate Action Mission,” has been designed. Visitors can scan a QR code to start the mission, embarking on a personalized and unique exhibition journey through guided narrative scenarios and engaging interactive explorations.
