The JOY lighting system represents a pioneering approach in office and workplace luminaire design, embodying JD Group’s iconic and symbolic JOY image. This series features minimalistic and elegant lighting fixtures crafted from modular building blocks, offering versatility for use in JD Group’s headquarters, offices, managed buildings, JD Malls, and other infrastructure assets globally.

The aesthetic of the JOY lighting draws inspiration from traditional Chinese calligraphy, incorporating an artistic and poetic approach to its form and appeal. Additionally, the Chinese character for "JOY" (乐, Le) is subtly represented in the product's side view.

With 620,000 employees and service to over 8 million businesses, the designers believe this unique approach will enhance our company’s brand impact and image, while warmly inviting everyone to experience our JOY lights.

Form & Aesthetics – A Harmony of Technology and Metalworking Craftsmanship
The aesthetic of the JOY lighting is inspired by traditional Chinese calligraphy, embracing an artistic and poetic expression in its design. The Chinese character for "JOY" (乐, Le) is subtly incorporated into the product's side profile, adding a deeper cultural resonance. The sculptural form of the JOY lighting fixtures is created through a specialized tooling process, giving them their distinctive and iconic appearance. Meticulous metal bending craftsmanship allowed for the seamless integration of the latest high-efficiency LED light strip modules.

Modular Lighting Design – Simplified Complexity & Versatility
The JOY lighting system is composed of two types of lighting sources: JOY mood light modules and functional lighting modules. A limited selection of modules was carefully chosen to reduce design complexity while optimizing versatility for various JD Group installations, including headquarters, local offices, offline malls, and other managed building assets.
