The Loong Soars Across China

HLA Group and Wuhan Tianhe International Airport have joined forces to present a captivating and meaningful fashion exhibition themed "The Loong Soars Across China". This exhibition is designed to celebrate the Year of the Loong 2024 and promote traditional Chinese culture to the world.

The exhibition features a creative display form inspired by the iconic Chinese motif—Loong, presented through a series of open suitcases. This approach combines the elegance of a museum with modern aesthetics. These suitcases are connected in sequence to evoke the soaring Loong, and each one is embellished with traditional Chinese arts like paper cutting, seal engraving, and classical painting, creating a vivid visual narrative. This innovative approach transforms each suitcase into a storyteller, inviting both domestic and international passengers to appreciate and explore the essence of the Chinese brand—HLA—and the richness of Chinese culture.

On display are the garments infused with Chinese elements. The iconic symbol of Chinese national spirit—the Loong totem—is artfully combined with intangible cultural heritage, including Helan stone seal engraving, paper cutting, and traditional Chinese painting. These traditional cultural symbols are revived in garment design, allowing their timeless appeal to shine through modern fashion. This blend of tradition and modernity creates a vibrant form of cultural inheritance, evolution, and promotion.

The walkways of the airport terminals feature a series of display installations that combine the imagery of the Loong soaring through clouds with the key elements of China’s intangible cultural heritage.
