Xiaonan Lake Hotel brand upgrading project

Almost every Chinese will meet Su Dongpo in different circumstances. Everyone can feel life again from Su Dongpo's art. The design of this project combines the Han culture of Xuzhou, takes Su Dongpo's visit to Xuzhou as the theme story line, and carries out space design inspired by Yunlongshan, Yunlong Lake, industry, bamboo forest and bright moon. It extracts the local cultural landscape elements, boat, chariot and horse elements and Han culture elements, and applies them in each space design through evolution and innovation, and realizes the communication between emotion and Chinese.
The hotel's central theme draws from Su Dongpo's tenure as Governor of Xuzhou and the vibrant life of Pengcheng. The design team has artfully woven the journey of Su Dongpo in Pengcheng into the fabric of the hotel, utilizing traditional materials, furniture, and artwork to seamlessly integrate the city's stunning landscape and rich heritage throughout its various spaces. This results in a harmonious blend of modernity and history, offering guests a distinctive luxury experience that showcases the city's cultural legacy.
Upon entering through thick wooden doors, guests are greeted by a cross-roofed entrance space that pays homage to the modern industrial city intersecting with tradition. The ambient lighting mirrors the shape of cloud dragons amidst moving light sources while creating shimmering patterns on the ceiling reminiscent of ripples on Cloud Dragon Lake. Additionally, metal wall linings evoke reflections akin to Lujiang water under illumination, complemented by dynamic installations inspired by Han Dynasty lacquerware and lenticular artwork.Transitioning from a floral scene into this area reveals an innovative guqin-shaped reception desk transforming into a cloud with changing embedded lights. Red brick walls echo Pengcheng's ancient fortifications while industrial details and bold colors infuse furniture designs with character; floor patterns outline Gupeng City’s map. A curved background wall evokes imagery reminiscent of Pengcheng’s arched gates.Embracing "Pengcheng Dream" as its theme, each room is imbued with hues inspired by Pengcheng Lake at sunset. Drawing from Yunlong Lake’s reflective waters and Yunlong Mountain bathed in twilight hues, privacy is ensured through screen inlays adorned with colored tiles while contrasting lighting enhances bathroom ambiance.
