Suzhou Creek Jing'an Section Republican New Road Underbridge

The scope of this design is Suzhou Creek Republican New Road section, including the space under the bridge of Republican New Road, and the public green space on the east side, covering a total area of about 2.2 hectares, of which the space under the bridge is about 8,000 square meters. The space under the bridge is mainly used for basketball court and road parking, which has the problems of single sports function and poor slow traveling experience. Through the integrated design of the original under-bridge sports venues, roads, parking areas, etc., the project improves the function of the space as a whole, adds multiple trendy sports elements such as running track, skateboarding field, breakdancing stage, etc., and provides the public with more urban sports and cultural activities gathering place. The sports area is dominated by dynamic lighting effects, tailor-made luminous and two-layer corridor grating for the basketball court, and the grating shape flows naturally like a belt, highlighting the vitality of the sport. Recreation area is based on static soft lighting, both fashionable and energetic, creating a picture of "the scenery under the bridge can also be infinitely good" scene. A citizen station is also set up under the bridge, providing public toilets, drinking water points and other supporting services to meet the needs of different people, and further enhance the quality of the waterfront public space of Suzhou Creek in Jing'an.
