Ji Xiang Dao

This project is a mixed-use sales center designed to serve the public, foster community connections, and enhance brand value. The primary function is commercial, located near a prominent business district in Taipei, Taiwan. Unlike traditional sales centers that focus solely on sales and model homes, this project is conceived as a mini-department store. It aims to create a diverse space incorporating dining, lifestyle products, children's play area, a bookstore, and event spaces, based on the concepts of "food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, and entertainment."
The overall space includes various amenities that allow the public to participate in different activities. The key design element is the integration of old and new buildings, with a central courtyard unifying fragmented functional areas and serving as a vibrant weekly event venue. Radiating from the central tree-like structure, the space creates an organic and dynamic atmosphere.
Breaking tradition, promoting local culture and community, and fostering eco-friendly corporate culture. This space integrates local cultural elements, offering unique dining and entertainment experiences alongside sales services, creating a rich, diverse visitor experience and a popular local photo spot. Preserving the original site, innovative pathway planning guides foot traffic seamlessly from the street corner. Using the "tree" motif as the design's core, a courtyard enhances space cohesion and visual appeal, drawing crowds naturally. Creating layered spaces through transparent facades, expanded mesh, and the blend of old and new buildings. This design generates diverse pathways and connects indoor and outdoor areas, encouraging free exploration and enhancing interaction, offering a rich, immersive public environment.

This design not only enhances the quality of life in the community but also promotes interpersonal connections, creating a multifunctional and vibrant public space that has become a new landmark in the local community.
