Chinese Exhibition Area in KLIBF

The design of this book fair aims to show traditional Chinese culture and promote cultural exchange between China and Malaysia. As an important country along the Belt and Road Initiative and the Maritime Silk Road, Malaysia embodies the Silk Road spirit of openness, inclusivity, mutual respect and mutual benefit. This book fair will strengthen cultural ties between the two nations through a Guest of Honor exhibition featuring China, highlighting the charm of Chinese publishers, illuminating wisdom with books, and connecting the entire exhibition area with silk ribbons.
The design also incorporates bamboo slips, symbolizing ancient Chinese writing culture. Bamboo slips were a primary writing material before the invention of paper, and they are as renowned as oracle bones, Dunhuang manuscripts and Ming-Qing archives. The color scheme includes China red, white minimalist bookshelves, and gray text slogans. Multimedia equipment and interactive projection devices dynamically showcase “The Complete Collection of Paintings Through the Ages,” enhancing the visitor experience.
