Urban Serenity

The project aimed to create a warm, elegant family space that balances practicality with future living aspirations. The design responds to the homeowner's daily functional needs while introducing diversity through thoughtful use of simple, crisp design elements. By removing a wall between the living room and study, we enhanced the space's communal feel, inviting more natural light and creating new visual connections that bring the outside urban and natural scenery into the home.

The central bar, dining, living, and study areas are seamlessly connected, organizing daily activities and fostering interaction. Different color schemes define each space: the entrance bar and kitchen feature a contrast of dark and warm tones, while the dining and living areas use warm whites to maintain a bright, open feel, and subtly differentiate between spaces.

We revitalized the traditional spatial structure by connecting the bar and dining area with the surrounding functional spaces, creating a versatile zone for family gatherings, friend get-togethers, and private events. This design promotes emotional exchanges and strengthens connections among family and friends.

For personalized living, the master bedroom is spacious and independent, with ample storage and flexible relaxation areas. The secondary bedroom is compact, focusing on essential functions, while the guest room features a tatami mat for optimized storage. Lighting and furniture were carefully selected with the homeowner, balancing aesthetic and functional needs. Display and storage spaces were thoughtfully integrated to accommodate and showcase the evolving traces of daily life.
