Urban Garden

The design brief is to surround the apartment with greenery, envision creating an Eden-like garden within this high-rise urban environment. Also, the design focuses on leveraging on the high ceiling of this Penthouse unit to maximize the sense of space and to create a stunning visual impact.

Upon entering the apartment, guests are immediately captivated by the dramatic visual impact of this urban garden oasis. The high-volume ceiling is utilized to create an urban garden theme, offering a striking contrast to the surrounding high-rise cityscape. To maximize the available space, a mezzanine with metal beams and grille railings is constructed, providing additional functionality without sacrificing style. The mezzanine is adorned with abundant creeping plants, further enhancing the green garden aesthetic.

The alfresco dining area at the balcony is an open, inviting space that enhances social gatherings and to encourage interaction.

Positioned to overlook the living area, the mezzanine also houses the movie projector, cleverly designed to project onto a pull-down screen below. This setup effectively conceals the large projector and 100-inch screen, seamlessly integrating them into the space without being overly conspicuous.
