The inspiration comes from Gibran's poem "You are the bow, and your children are the arrows shot from you." Jean (designer Lin Qiaoqin) said, "I made the house into the shape of a 'fully stretched bow', whileat the same time it looks like a parent's warm embrace, which is what I understand by 'home'." In addition to the courtyard and rooftop aerial vegetable garden, the house has a total of 14 indoor spaces: on the first floor, there is a foyer, living room, tatami area, dining room, kitchen, small tea room, and grandma's room. On the second floor, there is a multifunctional study, meditation room, master bedroom, daughter's room, children's study, son's room, and laundry room. The main material of construction - cement, is not only the building material, but also the main material for later interior decoration. Through polishing treatment, the surface is more wear-resistant and easier to clean, saving the cost of secondary decoration and greatly reducing costs. In order to create a warm and cozy indoor atmosphere, the designer used rubber wood finger jointed wood as a matching material on the basis of cement veneer. This not only ensures the stability of the wooden veneer, but also balances economic benefits and environmental protection. The aerial vegetable garden can be cultivated for three seasons, and the familycan be self-sufficient. The circular glass exterior wall allows sunlight to shine around the interior from morning till night. At night, one can also peacefully enter a dream accompanied by the stars. The building consists of two floors with a total of fourteen functional areas. It is designed in a circular pattern, gradually rising from east to west, to achieve diversified spatial layout and optimal lighting. The combination of steel strands and circular stairs connects the space, facilitating communication among family members and bringing beautiful changes to the lighting of the space.
