Days Inn by Wyndham Hangzhou Gongshu

This design aims to create an urban hotel that blends regional characteristics with modern aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from the canal, the design introduces a unique visual language called “Yun and Rhythm.” The design team integrates this concept throughout the building using curved lines. In particular, the entrance on the ground floor features a recessed design that creates a welcoming and guiding gesture. The interior and exterior interact through the curtain wall and lounge area, while the wavy wall design symbolizes the continuous flow of water. The use of orange as the primary color emphasizes the modern aspect of the design.
The facade retains the original architectural style and incorporates traditional Hangzhou greenery, maintaining the building’s integrity while controlling indoor lighting and temperature. The interior space uses curved lines and wavy designs to create a soft visual effect. Dynamic screens and water features allow the lobby to transition between quiet and active states, creating an inviting space with endless possibilities. The lobby lounge offers a tranquil environment for reading and socializing, where guests can enjoy fine wines and delicacies. The hotel features 83 comfortable guest rooms and suites, designed with inspiration from Hangzhou’s natural landmarks like Leifeng Pagoda. The rooms, enhanced by refined lighting art, create a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The high-quality bathroom fixtures elevate comfort, providing a peaceful retreat from the urban hustle. The hotel also offers a diverse range of dining options, from Chinese breakfast to sushi and teppanyaki, ensuring a comprehensive culinary experience for guests.
