Fu Ren High School - Yang Yinliu Arts Center is a renovation project of the original art building, covering approximately 1,240 square meters. The design centers around a warm color palette, with materials such as wood, perforated gypsum board, metal, and cement paint being prominently featured.
Yang Yinliu (1899-1984), a pioneer of Chinese ethnomusicology, dedicated his life to the study of Taoist music, Christian sacred music, Buddhist music, and local folk music. Passionate about music from a young age and skilled in various traditional instruments, Yang also attended Furen High School in his youth.
The design draws inspiration from the concept of "movement," with dramatic curves symbolizing a dialogue between nature and structure. The flowing lines in the foyer evoke the elegance of dance, while the colorful block designs on the ceilings of the choir and music rooms resemble vibrant musical notes, creating a dynamic visual experience.
To optimize the acoustics, wood soundproofing panels are used on the walls, enhancing both sound quality and the aesthetic appeal of the space. The overall design aims to blend visual and auditory elements, creating a visually appealing and functional environment for arts education.
