Strolling through the Spectrum

The site is an old apartment. The project is named “Strolling through the Spectrum”, inspired by the transformation of the space into a perfect box that captures the sequence of light and shadow. The open social area includes the living room, dining room, kitchen, and study room. A large framework defines four areas, allowing the social area to remain unobstructed while maintaining a distinct thematic structure. The U-shaped framework becomes the most captivating part of the design. When natural light fills the interior, the curved design creates layered shadows, infusing life into the static space.
The designers paid attention to the layering and functional needs, skillfully utilizing lighting. The contrast of different materials on the facades, such as the interplay between wood and plaster walls, gives the space a warm and textured look, adding richness through the variation in color and material. Whether considering functionality or visual experience, the project excels on both fronts. Within the limited space, the designers met each family member's expectations for their home.
