In response to the needs of a modern small family, the layout has been thoughtfully reimagined. By reconfiguring wall lines and repositioning doorways, the original inefficient three-bedroom setup has been transformed into a spacious two-bedroom layout. This includes a versatile secondary bedroom, an independent walk-in closet, and a three-section master’s suite with an en-suite bathroom. The dining area has been expanded into an L-shaped configuration, enhancing the flow and maximizing the depth of the public space, creating a sense of openness that far exceeds the actual floor area.

The homeowner’s preference for a minimalist, wabi-sabi aesthetic is reflected in the overall design, where soothing neutral tones blend seamlessly with warm wood accents. The expansive wall surfaces are treated with specially textured coatings that accentuate subtle layers and a soft, matte finish, providing a harmonious backdrop for both furniture and decorative elements.

Upon entering the foyer, a subtle elevation difference between the faux-cement tiles and wooden flooring symbolizes the transition from outdoors to indoors while also serving as an effective dust trap. Functional elements such as storage cabinets, a shoe-changing area, and a hidden storage room optimize the use of irregular spaces. The design gracefully integrates existing structural beams, columns, and pipelines, using curved and rounded edges throughout the living and dining areas. The cantilevered TV wall, with its refined protrusion and integrated low-profile wiring and storage cabinets, effectively delineates the space while showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The master’s bedroom continues the serene beige-grey palette. The original window above the bedhead has been replaced with bespoke double sliding doors, allowing for floating bedside tables on both sides that accommodate robotic vacuum operation. The walk-in closet and bathroom are arranged with a seamless flow, enhancing both the functionality and the user experience.
