The design of Tianjin JD Mall deeply explores the historical and cultural background of the city, extracting its most representative local elements. We combine Tianjin’s mother river, the “Hai River”, with the iconic landmark, the Tianjin Eye Ferris wheel, integrating JD's technological DNA and brand culture to propose the theme concept of "Eye of the Future." This concept not only reflects a review of the past, an exploration of innovation, and a vision for the future, but also serves as the core starting point for our design.
In practical design implementation, "Eye of the Future" is not just a theme; it is the soul that runs through the entire space. From the main entrance to the central atrium, this concept is omnipresent. Particularly in the atrium's void area, we boldly and innovatively installed a highly captivating dynamic installation called "Eye of the Future." This installation symbolizes technological energy and serves as a medium for artistic experimentation, representing a breaking of the boundaries of time and history, and establishing a perpetual connection to Tianjin's past, present, and future. It continually fuels the city's future development, creating a technological energy space filled with experimentation and futurism.
Targeted design solutions were adopted for different atrium spaces. In the 3C and digital technology area, we utilized reusable modular aluminum panels combined with luminous light strips, employing new techniques and technologies to present customers with various dynamic effects, granting the space infinite possibilities. We incorporated JD’s distinctive red tone to enhance the overall spatial identity. In the home scenario area, the tone is warm, comfortable, minimalist, and textured, using champagne and light colors to create a streamlined design that fosters a simple yet warm atmosphere.
The concept of "Eye of the Future" permeates every spatial scene, showcasing a unique sense of fashion, culture, and futuristic technology through layered interpretations of conceptual elements and the clever use of modern materials. We aim to build a future spatial scene where the city and the brand grow together, establishing deep resonance and connection with consumers, while artfully conveying the spirit and values of the brand.
