insurance and finance industry reception center Sun Yi Insur

Located in Anping, Tainan, this project serves as commercial space for an insurance brokerage company. Anping, once a fishing village on the coast, reflects the historical roots of insurance, tracing back to British fishing villages centuries ago. The risks of fishing at sea left families vulnerable, prompting captains to establish mutual aid organizations. These groups, funded by voluntary contributions from fishermen, provided support to families, laying the groundwork for modern insurance systems.



Inspired by its location and historical ties to insurance and maritime activities, the client sought to infuse the design with the grandeur of the ocean. Additionally, the design aimed to address insufficient light and inefficient workspace caused by extensive office equipment.

To introduce natural light, glass bricks are incorporated at the entrance to enhance interior brightness while reducing visual oppression and maintaining privacy with low-transparency haze. Combining glass bricks with stainless steel doors creates a dual-layered effect, addressing insufficient lighting. Inspired by the ocean, large tiles with flowing patterns, wave-shaped panels, and indirect lighting adorn the main wall, evoking a deep and immersive ambiance. This harmonious interaction between light and materials creates a magnificent atmosphere, reminiscent of sailing amidst rolling waves. Through shared workstations inside the office, the space is effectively utilized, and collaboration among team members is promoted, fostering a liberating and cohesive workspace.
