Century Office Zone

The client is a curtain wall supplier that has been providing services mostly for European and American customers since 1998. With the expansion of the company's scale, they are urgently establishing their own brands and promoting their business in China. Considering the needs of the client, the team committed to creating modern and comfortable office spaces for all the employees while merging a clearer brand image into the design.



Covering an area of 69,000 square meters, the project is located in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province of China, surrounded by mountains and rivers. The entire project consists of six buildings, one main office building, three factory buildings, one staff dormitory building and one clubhouse.



A spacious atrium of the office building in the first-floor functions as the reception hall and the product exhibition room. On the second and third floors, offices of engineering and technical department scatted around the atrium. The fourth floor is where the R&D centre locates when the fifth serves as a fitness and leisure zone for all employees. The director’s office and personal suite locate on the roof of the building.



Buildings No. 2 to No. 4 are factory buildings, built for the manufacture of aluminum systems. Those buildings are built with custom steel structures, the façade is made of bespoke grey concrete slabs of different grey scales, giving the building a unique touch. Skylight is triangular-shaped, the design allows more daylight to pour in and ensures better natural ventilation, and ultimately, reduces energy consumption. The clubhouse is a two-story building which consists of three bedrooms and three living rooms. Its main function is to accommodate renowned experts and important clients.



In order to highlight the building's mass, the architect selected Black White Grey as main colors to unify buildings of different functions to impress all visitors.
