Qinghualang Eight Masters

The eight great prose masters of the Tang and Song dynasties, renowned for their outstanding literary achievements, epitomize the ideal personality of ancient Chinese literati and scholars, who put forward values including responsibility, integrity, and the belief of using literature to carry morality. Based on that, the design team has integrated portraits, works, and biographical introductions of the eight masters into liquor packaging design, paying tribute to these great thinkers and litterateurs.
The bottle, drawing inspiration from Chinese scrolls full of traditional eastern charm, shapes likes a folded scroll and is engraved with the famous works of the eight great prose masters of the Tang and Song dynasties, highlighting rich cultural deposits of China. The cap resembling an unfolded scroll is easy to open or close, and symbolizes the transmission of knowledge and the inheritance of culture, further embodying profound cultural significance. Notably, the front lock of the outer box is designed as a golden writing brush to echo the inner bottle shaping like a folded scroll, which shows traditional aesthetic taste and represents the talent of Chinese literati and scholars. The inner side of the outer box features graphic and textual introductions of the eight masters. This adds a sense of history, improves cultural and artistic value, and demonstrates the design team’s meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, modern materials and techniques are adopted to ensure practicality. The packaging strikes a perfect balance between traditional aesthetics and modern design, serving as an excellent example to convey the essence of traditional Chinese culture and modern spirits.
