The core essence of this project lies in creating a unique yet contextually harmonious space within the constraints of interconnected traditional townhouses. Inspired by the Scandinavian ethos, where limited daylight is a catalyst for creative design solutions, the project emphasizes the use of natural light to evoke a sense of tranquility and well-being. The design reimagines the space as a sanctuary that invites guests to disconnect from the urban hustle and reconnect with nature, celebrating the interplay of light and shadow to breathe new life into the space. The building's exterior balconies are crafted using precision-engineered steel components, breaking away from traditional construction methods and requiring meticulous attention to scale and material choice. The scenic viewing platform is constructed using a mezzanine structural technique, supported by reinforced concrete (RC) structural walls. The visual impact is extended with slanted windows that gradually increase in height, offering travelers expansive views of the surrounding landscape. The staircase design cleverly replaces traditional handrails with custom-processed steel pipes as balustrades, meticulously executed to optimize the perceived spatial width. To emphasize natural lighting, the design team addressed the issue of the dark, unlit central interior by opening up the staircase wall with a diagonal cut. This innovative approach not only brings light into the space but also effectively extends and enhances the overall spatial perception. Additionally, a semi-outdoor area was created using floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the view, shaping the concept of a scenic observation deck. This design not only enhances the visual experience but also introduces a versatile outdoor leisure aspect to the accommodation, offering guests a multifaceted and engaging stay.
