Zen Calm Beneath the Moonlight

This project transforms a traditional Chinese medicine clinic into a serene and modern space, seamlessly integrating natural elements with functional design. At the entrance, the existing elevation differences of the structure are harmonized with natural materials such as flowering trees, black river stones, wooden grilles, and stone finishes. The pathway features a sequence of design elements, including fencing, landscape lighting, a terrace, and a bespoke marble moon-viewing window. The backlit signage and traditional script of the founding location further enhance the aesthetic depth, drawing connections between indoor and outdoor elements for a refined visual experience.

The overall ambiance exudes modern elegance with Zen-inspired tranquility, achieved through the extensive use of materials like wood, stone, brick, and specialty coatings. The design intricately sculpts the "heaven, earth, and wall" dimensions, highlighted by focal elements such as the "round outside, square inside" reception area with a moon-shaped window. Above the waiting area, a gridded ceiling cleverly conceals air conditioning units while visually expanding the height of the space. The reception desk, crafted from green-toned stone, evokes the grandeur of mountainous landscapes, reflecting artistry and functionality in every detail.

Behind the reception desk, vertically aligned wooden grilles with soft wash lighting enclose the herbal preparation area, balancing privacy with openness. The layout optimizes efficiency, offering distinct pathways to different zones: a sofa-lined waiting area, three consultation rooms equipped with private washbasins, a curtain-enclosed massage zone behind a stone-screen focal wall, and separate restrooms for men and women. In the corner washbasin area, a semi-circular mirror with backlighting complements an antiqued stone finish, offering a premium and immersive experience.
