DIFFERENT LENS is an interactive installation designed to draw attention to the surrounding natural environment. With soft, lightweight forms, it floats above the iconic lawns of Fuxin Park, inviting visitors into their own personal bubbles. Here, they can momentarily disconnect from the fast pace of daily life, focusing purely on the simplicity of nature. While ancient Chinese wisdom critiqued narrow perspectives, in today’s world of information overload, these whimsical bubbles serve as a gentle window to guide one’s attention back to nature, creating moments of unique connection.

DIFFERENT LENS comprises three distinct units - “Pumpkin,” “Honeycomb,” and “Lotus Leaf”, which are all made primarily from ETFE inflatable membranes. Both the “Pumpkin” and “Honeycomb” feature internal fiberglass ribs for added stability, ensuring that the structures maintain their shape during interactions with people.
