The Museum of Emotion - "Heaven’s" Ladder offers a profound exploration of human emotions through an intricate journey divided into contrasting spaces. The outer area, adorned with lush natural elements, symbolizes positive emotions—hope, joy, and serenity. Visitors ascend the three grand staircases, feeling as if they are rising towards a heavenly destination, with warm pastel skies and soft light creating a sense of optimism. As they climb, however, an unexpected transformation occurs: the colors of their clothing gradually desaturate, shifting from vibrant hues to muted tones. This fading symbolizes layers of emotional expression being stripped away, as visitors are led into a more introspective and pure emotional state.
Upon reaching the summit, the journey’s complexity is fully revealed. A transparent glass floor at the top exposes the hidden inner space below—a darker, enclosed realm symbolizing negative emotions like fear, sorrow, and despair. This unseen chamber, lying just beneath the path of hope, serves as a poignant reminder of the fragile balance between light and shadow within the human psyche. The installation conveys that while we strive for positivity, darker emotions are always near, urging visitors to confront and accept this duality. Through this blend of ascending lightness and underlying depth, Heaven’s Ladder becomes an unforgettable journey, symbolizing the layered and interwoven nature of human emotions.
