The phoenix represents rebirth and hope in Taiwan. It also symbolizes the bravery of firefighters who rescue the public during disasters and embodies their courageous spirit as they battle against flames.
Our design concept originates from the feathers of the phoenix, where a single feather symbolizes the 'collective' nature of 'firefighting.' The fibers within the feather represent 'units,' which can be a firefighter, a set of firefighting equipment, or individuals assisting at the scene. Fire prevention and disaster response rely on countless firefighters working together collaboratively to accomplish significant and challenging tasks, safeguarding both the community and every individual in the world.
Bringing together this meaning, the piece is not only located in the lobby of a government agency but also allows the public to interact with the lighting colors and dynamics at any time by scanning a QR code with their mobile devices.
