Inward landscapes, flowing garden.

Through a surrounding brook, the project is to create inward landscapes to provide residents with a picture scroll that is healing naturally. It invites residents to reconnect with the essence of life and immerse in the tranquil allure of the scenery in calm and contentment. Drawing inspiration from elegant Sichuan gardens, the design distills their essence into “six natural scenes”, seamlessly woven into distinct expressions.

The design palette has absorbed the verdant hues of Qingcheng's misty rains, capturing the lush greenery of Sichuan's mountains and the gentle, humid charm of the water towns south of the Yangtze River. Its ambiance evokes Zen tinges, striking a delicate balance amid the hustle and bustle of the earthliness and creating a woodland imbued with ethereal grace. Inspired by the brooks of Mount Qingcheng, the design relies on the lush flora, the stretching thickets, and the meandering brook to combine natural scenes with the buildings, allowing green to infuse every detail.

Ultimately, embracing the idea that “ a real hermit lives in the bustling place”, the design conceals living spaces within a marvelous, otherworldly realm. Chirping birds and the murmuring brook mark a pure, poetic vibe in nature and a lifestyle characterized by liberating relaxation. The result is a pristine sanctuary that offers healing, freedom, and a profound connection to one's inner self.
