Gentle Boundary

In contemporary urban living, a home is more than just a shelter—it is a reflection of personal aesthetics and lifestyle. Every residence tells a unique story about its inhabitants, embodying their way of life and inner world. The project aims to harmonize the homeowner’s refined aesthetic sensibilities with practical functionality. As a professional in the beauty and hairstyling industry, the homeowner values flexibility and meticulous attention to detail. Therefore, the spatial design emphasizes openness while incorporating finely tuned storage solutions. By optimizing the layout, the designer expands the private areas to an ideal scale, integrating materials such as rattan, wood grain, and artistic paint to shape a harmonious and multi-layered style.

The core design strategy focuses on reshaping the spatial structure and enhancing a sense of depth and layering. Originally designed as a three-room layout, the space was reconfigured based on the homeowner’s needs. Two of the bedrooms were combined to create a spacious master bedroom, with a dedicated walk-in closet added to ensure greater comfort and privacy.

The entryway features a woven rattan shoe cabinet with rounded edges, complemented by recessed lighting, creating a warm and elegantly designed welcoming atmosphere. The use of curved elements—such as the arched design of the living room’s TV wall and the curtain box—enhances fluidity, softening the rigid boundaries of conventional layouts.

A display cabinet is integrated with the TV wall to guide visual flow and introduce a focal point, further enriching the spatial layering. The TV wall is finished with Italian artistic paint, preventing the seam cracks that may occur with regular paint while enhancing the overall refinement and tactile experience. Additionally, a concealed equipment cabinet, seamlessly integrated with a cat walkway, allows for the discreet storage of the Wi-Fi router and cables, maintaining a clean and aesthetically cohesive look.
