Embrace the riverbank and green woods, enjoy the bright refreshing sentiment.

This design project utilized the existing elements with rich natural lighting to create a simple Nordic styled refreshing sunlight residence with white as the base tone, while pale bluish-green tones are added, corresponding to the sufficient sunlight, azure sky and green field outdoor, satisfying the simple style while offering more layers.

More effort was put to the selection of materials in order to make a connection with the public space, “glass bricks” are usually applied to external walls or interior partitioning, but this project used it for the television wall in the living room to introduce the excellent lighting effect of transparency, where changes occur to the visual effects along with the lights and shadows, which further extends the space as well. The transmittance of light without transparency allows different areas with adequate segmentation, while also allowing lights and shadows to naturally penetrate to the various corners. In the corridor, the secondary bedroom and storeroom selected glass sliding doors to “guide light indoor”, while the master bedroom and the kid’s room adopted “footlight strips” to enhance illumination. The demand for storage rather utilized the corridor and the living room sofa back wall to plan sufficient storage space, where different sized combinations offer flexible and uncompressed storage space.

Amongst the material selection, glass brick is a type of green eco-friendly product, where the advantages of strong pressure-resistance, fire-proofing, heat-insulation and good lighting stimulated its application on external walls or partitioning walls; this project utilized its characteristic glass bricks imported from Italy to meticulously design the living room television wall with unique taste. The storage cabinets and stylish walls in the entire house adopted the eco-friendly systematic panel material to create a sustainably wonderful living space.
