The collection visualizes how pop culture performances transcend time through fashion, born from analyzing frozen moments in dance videos across K-pop, hip-hop, and contemporary genres. Pioneering 'motion draping' - a technique developed by capturing paused frames of dance movements - the collection transforms fleeting silhouettes into wearable pieces. Screen-printed designs create trompe l'oeil effects that capture stage lighting and motion blur, while innovative silhouettes embody the energy of live performances that exist only in motion, engineering garment constructions to capture the ephemeral forms. As a South Korean designer, I bridge Eastern and Western pop culture influences, exploring how modern performance art creates universal moments of connection where time stands still and emotion flows freely.
