NOVE MANSION

The project is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, and covers an area of about 8,700 square meters. The design is based on the historical culture of Nanjing, taking the ancient painting “Kangxi's Southern Tour” as the inspiration and extracting the gate, lake, bridge, bookstore, and other spaces to reproduce the modernist aesthetic atmosphere of “Feast in Wonderland.” It utilizes the “much in little” garden technique, combining contemporary materials and craftsmanship to create a vivid modern landscape scroll.
The design respects the site context and hugs the contour to create a landscape, it relies on the building to construct a double sunken unlimited courtyard. Linking architecture, interior, artwork design and related majors to achieve integrated research and development, creating unlimited spatial experience in the limited space through spatial nesting and permeability. The negative factors such as the switchboard room are transformed into positive garden spaces combined with functional structure, then a spiritual field for garden life is established.
The project perfectly integrates culture, nature and life, constructing a multi-dimensional natural landscape field in the hustle and bustle of the city, and interpreting a brand-new oriental garden life.
