NINGBO THE BLOOMING PARK

The project is located in the core Jiangdong area of Yinzhou District, Ningbo, a city that embodies both the landscape culture of the Jiangnan water towns and the modern, cosmopolitan culture of the Shanghai style. The landscape design and scene creation of The Blooming Park also incorporate this dual nature of the city, pioneering a "Fragrant Garden" that presents an elegant, exquisite, and poetic space. It offers a serene escape amidst the bustling city, where one can savor the fragrance hidden in everyday life.



The nearly 60-meter-wide entrance facade is grand and majestic, inspired by Ningbo's city flower, the camellia. The petal-shaped architectural gateway and the central water feature complement each other, creating a main interface with tremendous aesthetic appeal and visual impact. On both sides of the gateway, three-dimensional cascading waterfalls stretch horizontally, framed by century-old osmanthus trees, together forming a modern landscape scroll. Through the integration and stacking of mountains, water, stones, and trees, the design delivers a strong visual impact in various forms, constructing a natural-style three-dimensional courtyard that hides within the city. Taking advantage of the terrain, rich elevation differences are set in the sunken space. An exhilarating waterfall cascades from the bottom of the upper landscape pavilion, flowing through multiple levels before converging into the Moon Lake. Paths wind through the forest, and small bridges span the cascading water, enriching the garden exploration route. Clusters of old osmanthus trees canopy over the cantilevered viewing platform, creating an independent woodland realm. Above the sunken courtyard, a delicate and serene terrace garden is constructed. Various forms of rest spaces are incorporated into the space, presenting scenes where nature and life harmoniously coexist.
