Chinese New Year is the most significant celebration in China, rich in cultural and historical meaning. It is a time for honoring ancestors, driving away evil spirits, and praying for good harvests, all while embodying the hope for a better life. In this festive spirit, the Chinese community looks forward to receiving symbolic gifts and foods to ring in the new year.

To celebrate this occasion, Cusine Cusine, a Michelin-recommended Chinese restaurant under the Mira Dining brand of Miramar Group, has launched its “Exquisite Chinese New Year Pudding”. Traditionally, CNY pudding is meant for sharing with family and friends during the festivities. With the goal of bringing good fortune, Cusine Cusine has created two beautifully designed packaging options for its pudding, both focusing on the theme of “good hope”.

Design 1 - Phoenix Sings in the Morning Sunlight (“鳳鳴朝陽”)
It is a metaphor for talented individuals encountering the right opportunities, symbolizing a sign of peace and prosperity in the world. The orange background conveys hope and brightness, featuring phoenixes soaring under the morning sun, complemented by clouds, peach blossoms, and butterflies — all symbols of good fortune.

Design 2 - May there be Abundance Year after Year (“年年有餘”)
Centered around the theme of “fish”, this design highlights its significance in Chinese New Year celebrations. The word for fish sounds like the word for surplus in Chinese, symbolizing abundance. Historically, fish also represented good fortune in traditional Chinese culture. With a warm orange-yellow background, two red fish swim upward towards the clouds, symbolizing good luck and progress, creating an energetic and lively atmosphere.
