The inspiration and motivation for the work “25 White Roses of Qijin” originated from a sorrowful historical event in 1973 - the shipwreck of a ferry from Qijin to Kaohsiung's processing and exporting area. The incident resulted in the tragic deaths of 25 young female workers. To support their families, the young women traveled across the sea to work in an era of economic takeoff. Their efforts and sacrifices were an integral part of Taiwan's economic miracle at the time. Through a three-year in-depth field research and creation process, the work pays tribute to these women workers who contributed greatly to Taiwan's economy but suffered from misfortune.

Music, video, dance, spatial aesthetics, and other diversified art forms demonstrate the new aesthetics of contemporary performing arts. The concept of the sea of life is taken to explore the profound connection between life and death, the past and the future, and to reinterpret this history on stage.
