Zhuhai Hengqin Scientific City

Zhuhai Hengqin Science City is situated on Hengqin Island in Zhuhai, positioned at the convergence of the "one country, two systems" framework and the junction of both domestic and international influences. Spanning a total floor area of 1 million square meters, it comprises multiple office complexes. The interior design project for one of these complexes centers around the concept of the "Qimengdao City Living Room", aimed at shaping a vibrant and creative urban interface. This project seeks to unleash the potential of urban spaces and enhance the interaction between individuals and the city. It serves as a central hub that connects various office sectors, as well as a platform to present Hengqin's identity, embodying Hengqin’s spirit of inclusivity and innovation.

The interior layout is organized into distinct zones: green space leisure zone, spirit coffee bar, shared book café, multi-purpose terraced zone, an art exhibition space, and a shared office area. Among them, the design of the shared office space is inspired from the unique characteristics of Hengqin Island. Notably, the design of the public lounge features a series of ascending steps that lead to the canopy's apex, abstractly reflecting the island's contour lines and offering a distinctive spatial experience. This design element also conveys Hengqin's aspirations for inclusivity, openness, and ecological sustainability.

The project's strengths lie in its innovation, functionality, and sustainability. Innovative design concepts and technological applications break through conventional limitations, offering a refreshing user experience. An efficient and convenient functional layout ensures practicality, while the use of eco-friendly materials and energy-saving equipment demonstrates a commitment to sustainable development. These features make Zhuhai Hengqin Science City a new benchmark in office space design.
