Gathering light of hope

This project is located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, and serves as the main lantern for the 2025 Lantern Festival’s Global Light Zone. It carries the mission of cultural exchange and artistic innovation, bringing together light and shadow creativity from around the world. Symbolizing unity, hope, and sustainable development, this work presents a dazzling fusion of tradition and the future, offering a spectacular light festival to a global audience.
[Planting the Seeds of Light, Becoming the Roots of Hope]The Taiwan Lantern Festival has planted the seeds of light, and Convergence of Lights is a great tree nourished by wishes and blessings. This symbolic tree of light thrives on people’s goodwill, gathering countless points of hope to weave a radiant and heartwarming spectacle. [Nurturing Blessings, Growing a Strong Trunk]The design incorporates the concept of the color spectrum, with each hue representing different wishes and blessings. These colors intertwine, flow, and surround the tree like light itself, creating a vibrant energy field. People's dreams and aspirations layer upon one another within the interplay of light and shadow, forming the strong and resilient trunk that supports this tree—symbolizing the power of unity and hope. 
[A Warm Glow, Branching Out to the World]Year after year, the Taiwan Lantern Festival grows like a tree, extending its branches and showcasing its unique brilliance to the world. Convergence of Lights is not only a visual feast but also a beacon of culture and innovation, spreading Taiwan’s heartfelt blessings to the global stage and illuminating the world with its radiant light.
