For his first project in collaboration with Natuzzi Italia, Andrea Steidl draws inspiration from the Apulian architecture of the 13th-century Frederician era. Like the grand Frederician castles, the new Mirai sofa features a structure with a strong personality, yet at the same time, it remains light.

Mirai showcases an architectural essence while also being soft and inviting—bold in spirit but also gentle and welcoming. Through a clever optical illusion, the sofa’s lines—much like those of the castles—only seemingly diverge, only to reunite in a play of perpetual and repeated elements, forming a dynamic and imaginative texture in motion.
In this refined seating design, Steidl has reinvented the concept of comfort through individual elements held together by an orderly wooden structure, supporting light and soft volumes. The three fundamental components of the sofa—cushion, backrest, and armrest—create a fascinating interplay of heights that enhances and emphasizes visual comfort.
Available in both linear and modular versions for customizable configurations, Mirai offers exceptional versatility. The exclusive end modules and chaise longue take adaptability to new levels, while the modular ottoman, equipped with brackets, further expands configuration possibilities.
