The name “Poodle Home” is derived from “Poodle”, symbolizing the family’s beloved pet Mumu, an integral part of the home’s design. The word “Jing” (璟) represents the radiance of fine jade, while “Yu” (域) signifies the space. Together, the name conveys the essence of a sophisticated and elegant residence, blending luxury and comfort to create a refined yet inviting dream home.
The project's most striking feature lay in its clever use of two merged residential units, opening up previously redundant partitions to create a spacious and transparent social area. The living room featured an asymmetrically arranged TV wall as the focus, which also accommodated the audio system and extended downward to the entrance platform, resulting in an expansive overall visual effect. To integrate the crispness and understated luxury of the Scandinavian style, the designers executed exquisite detailing on the hardware and stone elements, employing partial metal inlays and contrasting quartz surfaces to enrich the visual texture. To enhance comfort, the flooring and ceiling heights were largely preserved, reducing any sense of confinement while improving ventilation and natural light. The thoughtful integration of these elements left a lasting impression.
