The name, "Cedar Grove," comes from the surrounding fields and lush greenery. Located on a high floor, this apartment offers sweeping views of vast farmlands and industrial landscapes. To harmonize with the natural environment while satisfying the homeowner’s desire for a warm, inviting home, the designer adopted a Nordic-inspired warm color palette and made extensive use of wood and rounded finishes. From the foyer to the living room, a gentle, wood-infused aesthetic flows seamlessly throughout, echoing the outdoor scenery. The use of curved detailing not only enhances the sense of friendliness but also imparts the soft, gentle vibe characteristic of Nordic design—ensuring that stepping into the home feels like entering a refreshing forest retreat.

[Serenity Among the Fields]

The entrance sets the tone with warm, natural wood flooring and cladding, complemented by subtle hints of terrazzo that evoke scattered field stones. As one steps into the living room, wooden floors and custom storage cabinets create a comfortable and lively activity area. The TV wall features a graceful curved transition enhanced with artistic treatments, softening rigid lines and emphasizing a cozy home atmosphere. Behind the sofa, a semi-open study is integrated with irregularly segmented wooden storage, ensuring that books and toys are always within reach while adding depth and dimension to the space.

[Japandi Aesthetics]

In the kitchen, Japanese brand TAKARA is featured alongside a mosaic-patterned countertop, merging durability and easy maintenance with the overall vibrant tone. The bedroom area continues the wood-grain theme, utilizing lighter wood tones to visually expand the space. The bathroom design, which combines hexagonal tiles with wood-grain accents, evokes the refreshing sensation of wandering through a forest where streams converge, seamlessly blending natural serenity with modern functionality.
